CAPTURE PFAS WITH RARE EARTH MINERALS
Drop PFAS, Nutrients and Heavy Metals into the Sludge
Encore Flow is the only process that captures and removes PFAS compounds (along with nutrients, heavy metals and other contaminants) from the clarification basin without a specialized filter.
Watch How It Works
Clarification Treatment
Moving contaminants into the sludge.
As the Encore Flow active mineral compounds flocculate and capture the PFAS compounds and other metals and nutrients, this flocculant is sent to the clarification unit, where the hazardous chemicals settle at the bottom in the sludge and are removed for dewatering, drying and destruction.
Additional synthetic chemicals may be used during this process, but Encore Flow works on all contaminants (BOD, chemicals, toxins, pharmaceuticals, PFAS, etc), and reduces the need for heavy use of other chemicals. From here, the cleaned water can be treated, and we take care of the sludge entirely to ensure safe, clean water throughout the plant.
Cutting Edge PFAS Removal
The only solution that captures and destroys PFAS compounds in an environmentally friendly process.
Encore Flow captures and destroys PFAS compounds and reduces levels of PFAS in your wastewater to meet future EPA waterwater regulations.
Our process can work alone or complementary to filtration systems used for capturing PFAS, such as Granular Activated Carbon, Reverse Osmosis, High-Pressure Membranes and Anion Exchange Filters. These filtration systems capture much of the PFAS and heavy metals that pass through the system, but return a concentrated PFAS sludge that is today untreated and thus eventually returns back to the plant to re-infect the water.

Are you testing for PFAS?
Although the EPA has not yet set PFAS standards for sludge and wastewater, the agency has long been aware of the problem. Problems have been reported for decades, with PFOA and PFOS in the water, and in fields, spread on grazing lands. Many tests have confirmed that these chemicals are contaminating animals and humans in rural areas.
