Our sludge drying unit is one of the only low heat, energy-efficient dryers on the market. Unlike natural gas dryers with cylinder or barrel drying systems that require outside air and release some of the chemicals from the sludge being dried back into the atmosphere, our system is closed-loop and ensures that PFAS compounds, heavy metals and other contaminants are trapped inside the machine for safety.
With the Encore Flow dryers, air is heated up inside the machine and dehumidified, taking the remaining liquid back to the aeration basin or headworks for retreatment with our Encore Flow mineral compounds to ensure no PFAS compounds or contaminants remain.
